Ivan Nguyen

Ivan is a dedicated student affairs professional with over seven years of experience in career education, mentorship, and student & alumni engagement within higher education. His work spans the University of Toronto, Humber College, and the University of Calgary, where he has supported students through innovative programming and career development initiatives.

Across his career, Ivan has led initiatives in alumni-student engagement, mentorship programming, career exploration, and networking experiences. As a first-generation student and a member of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, he is deeply committed to equity-informed practices, centering accessibility and inclusion in program design, stakeholder engagement, and student learning experiences.

In his current role as Student and Alumni Career Engagement Coordinator at the University of Toronto, Ivan leads initiatives that connect students and alumni through in-person events as well as virtual platforms like Ten Thousand Coffees. His work focuses on fostering meaningful relationships, enhancing career readiness, and leveraging technology to support reflective learning and long-term professional growth.
