David Kinitz

David Kinitz (he/him) is a social and behavioral health researcher and Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University College of Social Work where he aims to understand social, political, and economic systems that shape LGBTQIA+ health inequities. He has a particular focus on systems as they relate to labor market phenomena (e.g., employment) and social welfare (e.g., social assistance). David’s community-engaged research uses critical qualitative and mixed-methods to develop policy-relevant findings rooted in the narratives of LGBTQIA+ people’s lives.
