Mary Stefanidis

Mary Stefanidis holds an MEd from the University of Toronto, and works as the Assistant Director, Employer Recruitment & Engagement at the U of T downtown campus. She stewards institutional employer and alumni relations to increase access to meaningful work, experiential learning and career exploration for diverse students. Mary brings over 10+ years of experience in EDIA across universities, disciplines, and in the nonprofit sector. She has more recently chaired U of T’s Queer Staff Resource group, was a board member of Start Proud and has sat on the board of Fundraising & Philanthropy for Toronto’s ‘519’. She has sat on both Provincial and National governance boards, building tools which are accessible, practical, and spark dialogue for equity and inclusion. Including the development of award winning guides which support organizations in implementing practical steps towards equitable hiring practices and a guide for Trans and Non-Binary students in navigating careers.
