August Haig

August Haig (He/Him) is part of TD’s Diverse Segments Team, where he leads Business Development initiatives supporting the 2SLGBTQ+ community. As Regional Manager, 2SLGBTQ+ Business Development, he serves as a trusted liaison between TD and the community, driving meaningful connections, advancing inclusive growth strategies, and delivering tailored financial solutions. 

With over 30 years of experience in the banking industry, August has built a diverse leadership background spanning retail banking, investment operations, mergers and acquisitions readiness, and project management. Throughout his career, he has consistently championed Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives, helping to shape more inclusive, client-focused environments while delivering strong business outcomes. 

August is an active contributor to TD’s internal and external communities. He is a member of both the Wealth and Business Banking Forever Proud Committees, serves as a mentor in the TD 2SLGBTQ+ Mentorship Program, and participates in employee engagement initiatives such as the Reception Committee. 

Beyond his professional role, August is deeply committed to community impact. He supports the CANFAR Legacy Program, is a passionate advocate for financial literacy among underserved 2SLGBTQ+ communities and is a strong ally to the Trans community, working to create spaces where individuals feel supported, represented, and empowered.
