Tays is currently a Talent Strategist on the Transformation & Communication team within Mercer, leveraging data-driven insights to drive positive workforce change for clients across industries and across the country.

She is passionate about understanding the nature of trauma and traumatic memory processes with the aim of developing interventions to support people who have experienced severe trauma and helping to inform the wider mental health policy conversation.

Tays received her PhD in August 2021 from Cornell University in cognitive neuroscience, utilising neuroimaging techniques to understand the neural and physiological contributors to maladaptive emotional memory. She has in-depth expertise in research study design, project management, personnel management, neuroimaging, programming, statistical analysis, and grant writing.
