Sam Kochhar

Sam Kochhar (he/him) is Director, Program Momentum, at CIBC where he is leading initiatives focused on building digital and AI capabilities for the retail advisor network. Since joining CIBC in 2019 through the leadership rotation program, he has held progressively senior roles across Technology, Digital Strategy, and Product Management, most recently serving as Director of Product Management at Simplii Financial where he managed a $300MM+ Deposits PnL and led a team of 6 Product Managers. Sam brings experience in banking strategy and transformation, retail growth, digital delivery, and customer- and performance-focused decision-making. He previously worked in healthcare technology leading digital transformation across US hospitals and holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and an MBA from the University of Toronto. Outside of work, Sam enjoys traveling, volunteering, and singing with Singing Out, Toronto’s largest queer chorus.
